BMF at the first Beaverlodge Art Walk

On Friday, June 10th, the BMF took to the streets in Beaverlodge's very first art walk! The sun was shining, the wind was blowing, and the art was inspiring. What a wonderful way to start summer!

The theme was: Dinosaurs. A theme decided to help promote an upcoming mural focused on the local prehistoric animal life. Thanks to the talents of BMF summer student, Micheal Roberts, people were able to pose with a painting of an Albertosaurus (a dinosaur whose fossils have been found in the area). Then they had a chance to see and touch real fossils and chat with Currie Museum curator, Emily Brandforth! To top it all off, people could also snack on the fossil footprint cookies supplied by Love at First Bite.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who showed up!

To anyone who couldn't make it: it might not be too late to still see the dinosaur footprints in the pavement and take a picture with an Albertosaurus!

The Beaverlodge Mural Foundation would like to thank:

- Micheal Roberts: For his artistic contribution to the BMF and his hard work on the mural!

- Emily Brandforth: For taking the time to come and educate people on our local (be it pre-historic) history.

- Love at First Bite: for their donation of cookies
