Work has officially begun on the second part of the train mural.
The first section of this mural was unveiled in September 2021 at the South Peace Centennial Museum. It was the largest mural that the foundation had done to date, measuring a height of 20 feet and a length of 40 feet, and took four months for artists Coralie Rycroft and Vicki Hotte to bring the mural to life.
If you missed the unveiling you can find the video here.
This second part of the train mural will equal the first in size. Work began in February from the concept sketch from local artist Vicki Hotte, with painting expected to continue through April.
The Train Mural: Part 2 will be placed around the corner from where the first was installed. A location picked for it's historical significance given that the building it is the same location where the Beaverlodge train station was during it's use.
